Pocus is truly a jack of all trades dog—he has done it all. He currently has titles in or has competed in conformation, herding, coursing, fastcat, agility, dock diving, barnhunt, and disc, and has trained in scentwork, obedience, and flyball. He has worked everything from cattle to ducks, and does so with natural cover and rate. He has good natural wear on cattle, and loves to drive. On sheep, he has a lot of presence, and rarely has issue moving them, I’ve barely ever had to see him have to resort to bark or bite on sheep. He is very fast, with his personal best times in fastcat being over 27 mph. In agility, distance handling is definitely your friend! Despite how much he loves all his other sports, disc is his absolute favorite. I call him a “big air dog,” as he will gladly vault himself 5+ feet in the air for a frisbee.
Temperamentally he is a very sound dog. Along with all the sports he does, he is a working medical alert and response service dog, which means he has to be very environmentally sound. He is aloof with people outside of his circle, but never fearful. Once you are part of his “group,” he will always give you a thousand kisses when he sees you! Very biddable, and with lots of toy and food drive, this boy could do it all!
Structurally, he is a fantastic mover, with very balanced side gait. Though he is half an inch oversized, he brings a lot of great qualities to the breed, including his great head type, ear size and lift, and moderate bone.
Pocus is available for stud to approved bitches
